Comprehensive Soldier Fitness for 2011

This just came out today – 28 Dec 2011. So great that the start of all this happened with Marty Seligman in 2008, from an understanding of his work of resiliency through adversity and applying it to our Service Members. I had the pleasure of forming the team of Dr Marty Seligman – Director of Positive Psychology Center UPenn; Dr Richard Carmona – Immediate past Surgeon General of the United States, Dr Mike Matthews – Director of the Department of Behavioral Sciences and Leadership West Point and Dr Larry Dewey Chief of Psychiatry Bosie VA to the former Chief of Staff of the Army General Casey. That year of work with the team members brought to light the significance of ...for the first time in history… a new era for the Army by comprehensively equipping and training our Soldiers, Family members and Army Civilians to maximize their potential and face the physical and psychological challenges of sustained operations. This prevention model, aimed at the entire force, enhances resilience and coping skills enabling them grow and thrive.
